City Council 2021-2025

The City Board leads and develops the city according to the goals, plans and decisions formulated by the City Council. The City Board's tasks include preparing, implementing and monitoring the legality of the decisions that the City Council considers.

The powers and general duties of the City Council are prescribed in the Local Government Act. They are specified in the Administrative Charter of the City of Porvoo.

SFP has 5 of the city council's 13 mandates. Elin Blomqvist-Valtonen serves as vice-chair. The other members are Johnny Holmström, Bodil Lund, Frida Sigfrids and Johan Söderberg. In addition to the members, council chair Mikaela Nylander also has the right to attend and speak at city council meetings.
